Neck
Chin tuck hold
Activation · Seated or standing
- How to do it
- Slide the chin straight back into a soft double chin and hold. Eyes level. Then release.
- Dose
- 6 reps · 5s hold
- What you should feel
- A long, quiet back of the neck
- Common mistake
- Nodding the nose down instead of gliding straight back.
- Make it easier
- Hold for two seconds instead of five.
- Avoid this movement if
- Any movement of the neck sharply increases pain, dizziness or tingling.
- Why DeskBreak uses it
- Adds a short hold so the deep neck muscles do a little work instead of only stretching.
Stop this movement if it causes sharp or worsening pain, numbness, weakness or dizziness.
